Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and PurseMe Limited ("PurseMe", "we", "us") governing your use of the PurseMe app and purseme.co.uk (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

PurseMe is a women-only community. You may use the Service only if you are a woman aged 18 or over and legally able to enter into these Terms. You must complete identity verification to access community and safety features.

2. Your account

Provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
You are responsible for activity on your account.
Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use at hello@purseme.co.uk.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service if you are not a woman aged 18+, or impersonate another person.
Harass, threaten, defraud, or harm other members.
Post unlawful, misleading, hateful, or infringing content, or share items you are not entitled to share.
Misuse safety features, submit false verification, or attempt to access other members' data.
Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to circumvent the security of the Service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or put the community at risk.

4. Safety features — important notice

PurseMe's safety features (Panic Button, Safety Check-Ins, Live Location, SOS) are convenience tools and are not a substitute for the emergency services. They depend on your device, connectivity, permissions, and third-party networks, and may not always work. In an emergency, always contact the police or emergency services (999 in the UK). To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any failure or delay of these features.

5. Member content and sharing

You retain ownership of the content you post. You grant us a licence to host, store, display, and share it as needed to operate the Service. You are responsible for your content and interactions, including any exchange or sharing of items arranged between members. PurseMe is a platform to connect members; we are not a party to, and are not responsible for, transactions or arrangements between members.

6. PurseMe PRO subscription

PRO is an auto-renewable subscription priced at £2.99 per month (or the equivalent in your local currency).
On iOS, payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. On Android and the web, payment is processed by Stripe.
Your subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's account settings (on iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Apple purchases are subject to Apple's refund process.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by PurseMe or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial use in line with these Terms.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (Settings → Privacy → Delete Account). We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or where necessary to protect the community or comply with law.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, PurseMe will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for loss arising from member interactions or from reliance on safety features. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections available to you.
